News - 2016/2017

Congratulations to Steven Lopes and Gordon Loughnan, both awarded Life Governor of Little Athletics Victoria, in recognition of their extensive contribution to Little Athletics. The award was granted at the LAVic AGM, on Saturday 6th August 2016.

Steven Lopes is a Life Member and Past President of WLAC, as well as the Assistant Competition Secretary on the SMR Committee. He has been involved in Little Athletics for 15 years and is a current Key Official at Region and State Championships.

Gordon Loughnan is a Life Member of the Westernport Little Athletics Centre, the Walks Coordinator on the SMR Committee and a member of the LAVic Walks Panel and Education Committee. He has been involved in Little Athletics for more than 30 years and is also a current Key Official at Region and State Championships. Gordon has assisted Waverley as a Walk Judge since 2012 and is one of the reasons why our walks still continue at the Centre.
