We run on Saturday mornings with the warm-up starting at 8:45am and are usually finished by 11:30am. There are some Thursday evening twilight replacements when there is a state or region event on the Saturday. These start at 5:45pm and are finished by 8pm.
All Little Athletics Victoria registered athletes are welcome to compete with us but please wear your LAVic patch and visit the Admin table on your first visit so that we can record your results for the Results section of the website. This is the only way to get all your results as we don't give out tickets for the events.
Little Athletics is a Centre based Track & Field competition for children aged between 5 and 15. For more details check out What is Little Athletics?
Waverley Little Athletics Centre is based at Central Reserve Athletics Track in Glen Waverley, is affiliated with Little Athetics Victoria and is part of the Southern Metropolitan Region (SMR). Not near Glen Waverley? Find your nearest Centre.
Because Little Athletics is a totally voluntary organisation, the Centre cannot operate without the assistance of parents each week in fulfilling the many and varied duties required. These include officiating at an event; managing an age group; recording results; working in the canteen; to name just a few. Additional assistance is always required on the Centre committees and all parents are encouraged to become involved. Little Athletics is one of the few sports where parents can become fully involved in their child's sporting interests.

Last Saturday (8th Feb 2020) we held our annual Relaython event, to help raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
This is an annual fun day event held by our Centre to create awareness about and raise funds for this wonderful cause.
Since the Victorian Little Athletics Association was formed in the late 1960’s, the RCHGFA has been an annual calendar event. LAVic has collectively raised over $1m from fundraising events, throughout the state Centres.
The purpose of the Relaython is to have a fun day for all, have one relay baton make its way around the track non-stop and the goal is to run as many laps as possible in the best possible timeframe.

A massive thank you to everyone who took part in our Relaython, it’s a great chance for our parents to get involved and have a fun run with their kids too.
We have not totalled the moneys raised yet because we will continue to sell raffle tickets next Saturday morning, for a short time, before drawing our winners.

This is the first time the High Jump surface has been rebuilt since the founding years when the facility was first built (1970’s) and this will be the third Long/Triple Jump surface, the last one being built in 2000.
