The Waverley Centre of Victorian Little Athletics will hold its championship on March 29.

The best boys and girls from each club of each age group will compete against each other but to make sure as many children as possible compete, a limit has been set on the number of events in which a child can compete. 

The limit is three events for the under 8's to 10's, but because of the small number of under 11 and under 12 athletes they will have an open go. 

The program is:

9.00 a.m. - 60 metre hurdles: 1 boy and 1 girl from each age group from each club, except under 8. 

9.30 - 70 metre sprint: 1 boy and 1 girl per club under 8 only.

9.45 - Field events: 1 boy and 1 girl from each age group from each club.

9.45 - Discus U.8; Triple jump U.9; Long jump U.10; High jump U.11; Shot putt U.12.

10.05 - Dis. U.9; T.J. U.10; L.J. U.11; H.J. U.12; S.P. U.8.

10.25 - Dis. U.10; T.J. U.11; L.J. U.12; H.J. U.8; S.P. U.9.

10.45 - Dis. U.11; T.J. U.12; L.J. U.8; H.J. U.9; S.P. U.10.

11.05 - Dis. U.12; L.J. U.9; H.J. U.10; S.P. U.11.

11.15 - 100 metre relay. Boys and girls Under 8 and 9 who have not competed during the day, 4 boys and 4 girls from each club Under 8.

11.30 - 4 boys and 4 girls from each club Under 9.

11.45 - 100 metres sprint. 1 boy and 1 girl from each age group from each club.

12.00 - Final 100 metres sprint.
