The State Track & Field Championships were held at Olympic Park over the weekend of the 20/21st March (for the last time ever before being redeveloped ).  The weather was awesome ...... and so to the performances by our Waverley Representatives !  Thanks again to our "Super Management Team" of Fiona Squires, Lindsay Thomas & Wendy Masters, boths days ran like "clock-work" with the help of all parents of athletes involved.

An EXTRA SPECIAL mention goes to Finlay Rennie in the u10 80mh.  After a dissapointing Championships 12 months previous, Finlay struck back and won GOLD in a NEW STATE RECORD time of 13.63 sec.

GOLD Medalists: Ellie Masters 80mh 14.31 sec, Finlay Rennie 80mh 13.63 sec (New State Rec), Grace Cross u11 HJ 1.36m , Harry Mao 70m 9.93 sec & 200m 28.12 sec, Nana-Adoma Owusu-Afriyie 70m 9.80 sec & 100m 13.45 sec

SILVER Medalists: Harry Mao 100m 13.34 sec, Ella Squires 70m 10.34 sec, Paige De Lisen 1500w 7:41.46 min, Nicholas Thomas 800m 2:10.93 min

BRONZE Medalists: Ella Squires 100m 14.28 sec, James Burren u11 1500w 8:15.73 min, Nana-Adoma Owusu-Afriyie 200m 27.80 sec, Konrad Debicki 300mh 44.90 sec
