News - 2009/2010

Thank you to all those athletes and families who supported the Seaford Open Day last weekend.  We were once again blessed with fine weather and we were swept up in the lovely family friendly atmosphere!
The Waverley team achieved some fabulous individual results in the cross-country events and was also rewarded with a number of team placements.  I’m not going to count on my memory to list all achievements here, just in case I forget somebody!  I am waiting for the results to be published on the Seaford Little Athletics Website.  Photos from the day have been added (Seaford will also have some photos).  Congratulations to all athletes who participated and performed to the best of their ability.
As cross-country athletes we were also keen to support the Waverley athletes who also took on the walk events.  Waverley enjoyed much success with Paige, Tara and Konrad winning their events, Flynn coming in 3rd and Laura 4th.  Some walkers encountered the odd hurdle ... almost literally ... when they had to open the school gate to continue on their course … at all times making sure they kept one foot on the ground!  Congratulations to the walkers!
