In David’s first year at the Centre, he volunteered in various General Duty positions before stepping up as the U7 Age Group Leader in 2012/13, leading his daughters age group. He progressed to U8 Age Group Leader the following year before taking over as the U6 Age Group Leader in 2014/15, during his sons second year as an U6 athlete. Every year since, David has progressed through the ranks as an Age Group Leader and is currently one of our U12 Age Group Leaders.

As an Age Group Leader, David has been responsible for; looking after all athletes within his group, ensuring they run through the program smoothly, assisting with the ON TRACK program for U6-U8's, running Javelin (from U11), assisting and running the various field events, which includes looking after the athletes, recording, coaching, spiking/raking the jump pits, measuring at jumps and throws; timekeeping the long-distance events and ensuring all athletes are safe and have fun. David encourages all athletes to strive for better, achieve PB’s and do their best.
